Another cousin gets hitched! I have a lot of cousins on my dad’s side and they are slowly approaching the marrying stage of life. Last year’s wedding was Andy in New York, this year Ihave two to attend – Alex in Ohio and then Katy in Indiana this fall. I really enjoy going back to the north for these weddings and visiting with the family. So whose next? We don’t have a “Stalter” wedding for next year yet. Pete or Matt, get on it!

Alex and Ang were married in Rossford, OH at All Saints Catholic Church and the reception took place at St. George Orthodox Cathedral. Alex drove the wedding party to the reception in Rossford’s new fire truck – a fitting way for a fireman/paramedic and his new bride (who happens to be a nurse) to arrive.

Perry and Billy chose Revolution Mill Studios for their intimate spring wedding. Although it rained, the weather didn’t ruin their day. The yummy buffet style dinner was provided by Sweet Basil’s Catering. After dinner, Kyle with 1st Carolina DJs played tunes to get the guests on the dance floor. Perry and Billy, thank you for letting me join in your wedding day festivities. I wish you luck in the coming years together!

I met Perry and Billy at Revolution Mill for their engagement session. They are using the fabulous event space for their spring wedding and reception. It was a chilly day, but we braved the cold to get some fun shots outside. Perry and Billy, thank you for an amazing session. I can’t wait to document your wedding!

Wedding: Paula + Peter

Last Saturday two souls merged into one…Paula and Peter are soul mates and everyone present at their wedding would agree. They wrote their own vows and even had them memorized for the ceremony! I usually don’t cry at weddings, but their vows brought tears to my eyes! There wasn’t a dry eye in the church after the ceremony was over. Paula and Peter, I know you are living it up in Jamaica right now, thank you for letting me be a part of your day. I wish you many, many years of love and happiness together!

Bridal session: Paula

Paula married her soulmate on Saturday so I can finally show off her gorgeous bridal photos. We met her at the Greensboro Arboretum one evening to catch the “sweet light”. The mosquitoes were out in full force, but Paula was a trooper and kept her composure through the whole session. Stay tuned for the wedding picks!

The Sierra wedding

When Jen married her high school sweetheart a couple Saturdays ago love was definitely in the air! Love of family, love of friends, and eternal love for Joe. I was honored to photograph a day filled with love.

We meet up with the girls at the Proximity Hotel for some fun shots before the ceremony. This photo was Jen’s idea. (We love it when bride’s come up with cool shots!) And the girls all looked marvelous!

Then we hightailed it to the Carriage House for some fun with the boys.
Joe was looking mighty fine in his white suit!

The ceremony was held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. This is the beautiful stone church on W. Market Street in Greensboro. I had the perfect bird’s eye view for the ceremony while my fellow photographer, Phil caught the event from the ground.

The priest missed the kiss so he asked them to do it again. No complaints from Jen and Joe!

The whole bridal party was jumping for joy after the ceremony. Many had been waiting 10 years for this!

We took the newlyweds around the grounds of the Blandwood Mansion for some private photo ops.

There weren’t many dry eyes during their first dance.

The cake of course was Carolina Blue!

I highly recommend flip flops to all brides, I even wore them for my wedding day.

Joe had to get all his apartment keys back from his girls! :)

Jen and Joe had a sparkler send off, but it didn’t compare to the sparks in their eyes!

Jen and Joe, thank you for letting me join in your wedding day fun. We wish you luck in the next 10+ years of your lives together! It was beautiful and we were honored to be a part of it. You guys are amazing!

The Lewis wedding

A couple Saturdays ago our good friend’s brother tied the knot. It was the perfect day for an outdoor wedding. I’ve only met Jeremy a couple times, but I’ve never seen him smile so much or as big as on his wedding day. And Alesha was glowing all day and into the night in her gorgeous dress.

They were married in the garden of the Magnolia Manor and the reception took
place in the Ashley Ballroom.

Seriously, it was ear to ear all day!

Bridal Shoot: Jennifer

Our September NYC bride wanted an uptown feel to her bridal portraits and the Proximity Hotel was the perfect location (outside of NYC). We met Jennifer and her cheering section (mom, sisters, and a friend) last week for some fun in the afternoon light. Gorgeous is the only way to describe her in the dress, you’ll have to wait until after the big day to see her. :) Enjoy these photos while you wait…

The Stalter wedding

Kassie and Andy were married on July 12th in Buffalo, NY at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church and the reception took place at Salvatore’s Italian Garden. The bride and her mom have had their mother-daughter dinners at the restaurant since she was 5 years old. Kassie had always dreamed of having her wedding in one of the glamorous rooms and the first thing she did when she got engaged was have her mom book Salvatore’s for their reception.

The girls spent the morning at Kassie’s home getting dressed and the living room
had the perfect shades of pink to complement their wedding attire.

The church had a wonderful skylight above the alter, a photographer’s delight!

Kassie and Andy planned for tons of time between the ceremony and reception so we
could head out to Green Lake for some fun photos. So after the traditional Catholic
ceremony, the wedding party jumped into the limos and off we went.

The Holiday Inn was the next destination on this nonstop wedding ride. The bride and groom grabbed their luggage to check into their honeymoon suite (at an undisclosed hotel) while some wedding guests (aka the Stalters) hit the bar for some before dinner drinks and laughs.

Off to the reception. The bride’s brother, Kurtis created the ice sculpture on display
and her mother made the wedding cake. Creativity runs in the family!

My cousins insisted the photographers be photographed!
Danny and Alex are the life of any wedding reception. Hire them for your big day!

Engraved beer boots make excellent gifts for groomsmen!
